FrSky are well known for their frequency hopping ACCST protocol, that covers the whole 2.4Ghz band resulting in excellent range and signal strength, and now they have even released a new budget radio - the Taranis Q X7. The radio works with the OPEN TX open-source software and provides unparalelled flexibility and possibilities for programming and setting up a model.
The X7 has up to 3 times the range of most other 2.4Ghz radio systems. It also features 6 switches and two potentiometers. The radio has integrated telemetry, and when used with the new X series receivers with "Smart Port" sensors, the possibilities really are unlimited. We also have to mention the back-lit LCD screen, as well as the 16 channels that can be expanded up to 32 by adding an optional external "JR" style module. The software also features 64 mixers, 9 flight modes, 16 custom curves with 3 to 17 points each, 32 logic switches, 60 model memory (more with the SD card), signal strength alarms, real-time data logging.
